The room had a shower, but there was no place to hang clothes, and it was supposed to have air conditioning or a fan; however, it was located in a peaceful area close to bars, the metro stop, and a fountain.

Amiable and excellent co-operating staff and particularly good location in the centre! Short walk to bars, a restaurant nearby and a very nice area, all new and clean, spot on. The single room with shared bathroom, facilities worked for us.

Came in Madrid to relax and have fun, this cheap hotel was useful base for doing it. The room was neat with smoke detectors for safety measures, and climate control and flat-screen television. The location was particularly good and excellent - just next door to a very nice area, Madrid and bars, shops. Furthermore, near the Iglasias metro stop.

We arrived at 10a.m. and were given a room and keys straight away, which is more than we expect normally. I think it helps to speak a little spanish.

Our double room had central heating, a work desk, and a flat, screen TV with satellite channels. A bathtub in the shared bathroom was a plus. the hotel's location was central, convenient to take metro to the airport. Our double room at Hostal Nersan2 in Madrid was well, equipped with central heating, a work desk, and a flat, screen TV with satellite channels. the presence of a bathtub in the shared bathroom was an added bonus. the central location of the hotel was very convenient, making it easy to access the metro for the airport.

This hostal was very good value for money for an en-suite private room. It was very clean and was fine for a short city trip. There was not really any other facilities here but there are enough places in the area to get breakfast etc.It is in a pretty good location with all the main sights a few stops away on a good metro system.

The hostal is clean and quiet.
No TV and internet connection. It is also quite far from the metro station. No reception. You have to inform them on your arrival time to ensure there is someone at the reception to check you in.

I think the location was great, we enjoy staying at the hostal.
It was confortable, we don't have any complain, the elevator was a little confusion at the beginning but after a while it was ok.

The man who ran it was very nice though he only spoke Spanish.
The room I was given was not worth the money and should not be rented out as a room. It's actually a converted office. The problems with it were: 1) there were no hooks, shelves, drawers or anything for your stuff. The only option was to place things directly on the floor. This can easily be fixed by installing hooks by the bed and in the bathroom. 2) The room had no air. There was only one tiny window and it led to the reception (not to the outdoors). So either you stifled in overwhelming heat, or you had the window to the reception open and heard every single person who came in and out all night long and all staff conversations. Moreover, the window had no curtains or cover and the reception light was directly on the other side of it so all night long people kept turning the light on which was the same as if some was in the room with you turning the overhead light on and off all night long. This can be easily fixed by installing an overhead fan and putting black out curtains on the window. 3) The room had the attachment for a flat screen tv but no tv. All the other rooms had a tv. This should be fixed especially since I paid the same price. 4) The room was slightly larger than the double bed that was in it. The other rooms were 3x as nice and were proper bedrooms with floor to ceiling windows to the street, curtains, and were easily 2 to 3 times the size of my room. This is not acceptable when the price was the same. Again, it was very obvious that the room I stayed in was a converted office and not a proper bedroom. I highly recommend that this room not be rented out again before at least the above mentioned features are fixed. The other hostels are cheaper, better located and provide better rooms for the price I paid. I cannot recommend this place to anyone at the present time.
